Team​​Santiago, Chile​​ — DP World Lirquén has deployed Chile’s first aquatic rescue drone Dolphin 3 at a port, a cutting-edge device designed to rapidly respond to potential sea-related accidents.

The Dolphin 3 is equipped to provide immediate flotation assistance to individuals who fall overboard and facilitate their safe transport to shore. The introduction of this technology aims to enhance emergency response capabilities and elevate safety standards for port workers.

Felipe Silva, Head of Protection at DP World Lirquén, emphasized the significance of the new system: “The deployment of this equipment marks a major advancement in port safety. As a terminal, we’re proud to be the first in Chile to implement this revolutionary technology, which will allow us to respond more quickly and effectively to emergencies involving our personnel—without putting others at risk.
